Phoebe Wants to Be- early reader chapter books

In her pretend “Phoebe Town,” littler Phoebe did every single job. And now that she’s eight, Phoebe’s absolutely certain those pretend jobs have made her ready to declare what job she wants for real when she grows up.

But what Phoebe Wants to Be is different in each of these fun and informative early reader chapter books

In each story, Phoebe finds an experienced and positive mentor who gives her the opportunity for hands-on training for her for-sure future. As she enthusiastically dives in, Phoebe faces relatable successes, messes, challenges, and surprises. In the process, she learns skills that are useful right away. But as her knowledge and self-awareness grows, she understands that dreams for the future can change.

There’s so much Phoebe can be!

LittleBit - Picture Books

Set in the seacoast community of Pettingull, each humorous standalone book features our story star, Elisabit “LittleBit” Pal, a spunky kindergartener who resolves each central predicament with creativity and determination. Whether searching for A LittleBit of Magic in Pettingull Cove or daring to Trick or Treat at a (probably) Haunted House in A LittleBit of Boo, LittleBit meets a challenge…and learns from it. For LittleBit, the result is always positive emotional growth and empowerment.

About the Co-Authors

© Aria Rose Lapides

Hi! We’re Nancy & Kaz, long-time friends turned co-authors (…and still friends).

Before Kaz began writing children’s books, she had a career in corporate marketing communications, including freelance writing. She has a BS in Education, and studied Mental Health in a Master’s program. In addition to her writing, Kaz is a voice actor and loves to apply that skill when she reads our books out loud!

Nancy’s interest (and BS) in child development fueled her fascination for children’s books. And for years, she has supported non-profit organizations focused on women and children. When Nancy’s not writing or instructing clients in her busy Pilates studio, she’s hiking or endlessly gardening.

We always make time to get to our favorite place for inspiration – the beach.

Nancy and Kaz are members of SCBWI.
